Day 06

Today started off with a lovely stroll in the icy rain on our way to Ela Bauer, who's work was a fascinating mix of silicon, resin and 3D printing. I think I most enjoyed her 3D printed works for the texture, elegance of the shapes as opposed to some of her other works which are more complex, and the interesting sound element unknowingly present in the conical shaped necklace and rings. Next we went across town to see Peter Hoogeboom who had some incredible ceramic works (and because I am writing this a few days after the fact, the pieces I have seen since of his are incredible). Being able to see the diversity in  studio set up and resourcefulness of the artists in small spaces. Later that evening I made friends with a Russian and a guy from Portugal and smoked some joints in the park and the went to the pub where a lady gave us some daffodils for our help and we stole a stein for a vase and now it is in our room and is about to bloom.
